ご存知の方も多いかもしれませんが、この夏群馬県の野外イベントで薬物関係の事件が相次ぎました。それにより、地元の人々や警察は野外イベントの開催に関して非常に警戒しています。本日、川場役所と最終打ち合わせを行ってきました。参加していただく人が安心して楽しんでもらえるよう、今年もセキュリティースタッフが会場の見回りを行います。ただ今年は皆さんにもご協力頂かなくてはいけない点がいくつかあります。

*今回からエントランスで荷物の検査を行うことになりました。法律で禁止されている薬物を発見した場合は、すぐに警察に通報させていただきます。 *イベント参加者は、そしてイベント開催中は違法行為は行わないという内容の誓約書に住所、氏名を記入して頂く必要があります。ＩＤとの照らし合わせは致しません。この書類は参加者名簿として一定期間マインドゲームス側が責任を持って預からせて頂きますが、個人情報の流出が問題になる恐れの無い様、これをどこかに渡すものではないと御約束させて頂きます。但し参加された方が問題を起こした場合に警察から閲覧を求められた場合は拒否はできませんのでご了承ください。 *イベントには役所の監査が入ります。 *制服を着た警官および私服警官がイベントの監視を行います。違法な行為を行った場合は、直ちに警察に連行されます。また、イベント自体が中止になる恐れもあります。 *会場付近には警察による検問が設置されます、必要に応じて車内や荷物をチェックされることもあります。

飲酒運転は絶対にしないようお願いします。飲酒運転で捕まった場合、懲役又は100万円以下の罰金を払わなくてはいけません。運転をされる方は、安全運転を心がけましょう。また帰宅時には、かならずお酒を飲んでいない人が運転して帰るようにしてください。イベント終了した月曜の晩も、キャンプをしていただくことが出来ます。イベント中にお酒を飲んだ場合は、もう一晩ゆっくりして火曜日の朝に会場を出発するようにしてください。飲酒運転は、ご自身だけではなく周りの人にも迷惑がかかります。

私たちオーガナイザーは勿論、川場役所の人々も、イベントが成功することを心から祈っています。法を守り、行動に責任をもって楽しんでください。そして絶対に違法な薬物は持ち込まないようにしてください。

川場には美しい自然や伝統的な生活を重んじている人々が沢山いることをけして忘れないでください。若い女性が薬物使用で亡くなったというニュースを受け、地元の人々は「今までの穏やかな生活が危険にさらされるのではないか？」と非常に心配しています。そんな状況にも関わらず、川場の人々のご協力で、今回も無事イベントを開催できる運びとなりました。

ラビリンスは自然の中で、最高の音楽を楽しんでもらえるイベントだと信じています。年に一度、日常生活ではけして味わえないスペシャルで最高の時間を求め、日本各地から音楽を愛する人々があのスペシャルな場所に集うのです。

私たちにとってラビリンスがどれほど大切か、川場の人々も理解してくださっています。彼らの協力があってこそ、ラビリンスを続けていく事が出来ているのです。川場の人々の期待を裏切らないようどうかお願いします。４日間最高の音楽を楽しむために、そして今後もラビリンスを続けていくためにも、ご協力のほど宜しくお願いします。

The Labyrinth 2008: Important Announcement

This summer there have been several serious incidents involving outdoor events in the Gunma area that have caused the local people, government officials, and police great concern. We are working closely with everyone involved to ensure a safe event, and like always we have a professional security team monitoring the venue. But we also need to ask everyone coming for your cooperation and understanding.

We just met with representatives of the local area, and they clearly explained the situation to us. They made several requests of us that are non-negotiable.

First of all, we will be searching bags coming into the property. Anyone caught with illegal substances will be reported to the police.

In addition, all people coming to the event will have to sign a statement, with their personal contact info, that they promise to obey the law and not consume illegal substances during the course of the event. We will NOT share this information and will destroy it.

Government officials will be visiting the event from time to time to make sure everything is going smoothly.

We were also told that police, both uniformed and undercover, will be monitoring the event at times. Any illegal behavior seen on Kawaba property, which is government land, will result in an immediate arrest, and the event might be stopped.

Finally, the police will set-up a check point on the road to the event to search cars and luggage, and to prevent drunken driving.

Do not drink and drive. The penalties for being caught drunk while driving are severe. For those who are driving, please designate a safe driver who doesn't drink to drive home after the party. It is possible to spend Monday night at Kawaba and leave Tuesday morning, so if you've been drinking, please just relax another night and do not drive back. It's not worth the risk, both to yourself and others.

Both the organizers and the local officials absolutely want to avoid any incidents. So please be responsible and respect the law. Absolutely do NOT bring any illegal substances into the event.

Keep in mind that many people have chosen to live in this area because of its natural beauty and traditional values. They are particularly sensitive to problems that threaten their way of life. It is not surprising that the tragic death of a young girl earlier this summer has caused them great concern and sadness. But despite their worries, the local people are taking a great risk and supporting this event, because they know it is meaningful to many.

Labyrinth is about music, is about nature, is about sound. It's a place for like-minded people to gather together once a year, in a magical spot, and experience something different, something outside the usual walk of life.

The people of Kawaba have been kind enough to provide a space for this to happen. Please respect the trust they have placed in us. We are depending on all of you.
